BBC Breakfast - Gah!
On the Guardian Unlimited forum The Talk, there has been a long-running wide-ranging, informative, and enjoyable running commentary about BBC Breakfast - the BBC's award-winning morning news programme.
It covers everything from flagging up sloppy journalism (inane questions and parroting tabloid headlines), analysis of the programme's Establishment worldview (apparent target audience - Daily Mail readers) and content (do they expect us to not notice how an live broadcast from a full classroom seems rather contrived at 7:20am?) and, yes, mockery of the presenters (especially Natasha Kerplinsky's frequent autocue gaffs and Bill Turnbull's subtle subversion of the show's more reactionary elements).
However, GUTalk threads aren't indexed by search engines, and GU Talk threads get periodically autodeleted, so all this marvelous content is not searchable.
So, this page links directly to archived sections of the thread.

The thread then got deleted as it was too big (which often happens on the GU forums), so another one began...
