Experimental Bit
This page is an attempt to put into perspective the risk of various events happening to a person. People's perception of risk is generally highly skewed; prompted by media coverage, people, will, for example stop eating eating types of food due to 'the risks' but still drive recklessly to the supermarket.
This page crudely works out the risk of an event happening to an 'average person' in the UK (unless stated otherwise) over the course of one year.
